Vancity Publishes Six e-Transfer Limits, Including One Nobody Else Does
Can you use Vancity to deposit at and withdraw from online casinos?
Yes, by Interac e-Transfer. We cannot tell you the price: Vancity publishes no e-Transfer fee we could cite. We hold no reports of card or debit gambling declines, and found no published Vancity term on gambling either way.
Vancity publishes more e-Transfer limit detail than any bank on this site: six sending tiers, the incoming ceiling, the minimum, and a "no delay" threshold of $500 above which a transfer is not immediate. It then states, in one line, that these are system limits it will not change for an individual member.
Which casinos take Interac does not vary by bank, so there is no Vancity shortlist here. The same operators accept e-Transfer from every participating institution: the main Interac casino comparison.
You Almost Certainly Cannot Cancel a Vancity Casino Deposit
Vancity names the two cases that block cancellation, and the second one catches people who deposited by Request Money rather than by sending.
Cancel a Send Money transaction to a member that has set up Autodeposit while the e-Transfer is pending deposit. Cancel a fulfillment of Request Money transaction pending deposit.
Steps
- Log in to Online Banking and select e-Transfers
- Select 'Sent' under Transfer history
- Find the transfer and click 'Cancel' on the right
Treat a deposit as final the moment you confirm it, and check the amount and recipient name on the confirmation screen. A deposit you regret is a conversation with the operator, not with Vancity.

- Vancity. You authorise the transfer inside your own banking app. Funds leave immediately.
- Interac e-Transfer rails. Interac moves the value between two financial institutions. No money travels by email.
- the casino's payment processor. Registered for Autodeposit, so the transfer lands without a security question. This is the name your statement records.
- Casino balance. The operator credits your account once the processor confirms the reference matches.

Vancity defines the window rather than leaving you to guess: "if the first transaction is sent at 11:30 am, 'day' is calculated on the 24 hour rolling period which will end at 11:29 am the next day." It also publishes a separate "no delay transfer limit" of $500, above which a transfer is not immediate.
Source: Vancity, e-Transfer limits (support.vancity.com), read 2026-09-27The $20,000 rolling 30 days month is about 3 transfers at that size. Yours follows your account plan and can usually be raised on request.
Setting Up Autodeposit at Vancity, and What It Changes
Two Vancity specifics here that are worth acting on, one useful and one a privacy consideration.
How to register
- Log in to online or mobile banking and open E-Transfers in the menu
- Select Autodeposit
- Enter the email address and link the account. Up to five addresses can each point at a different Vancity account.
- Confirm from the email Vancity sends and click Done
Once you register, "the name you used to create your profile within Interac e-Transfer settings will be displayed to anyone who sends you an e-transfer".
Our note for casino players
Enable Auto-Deposit in online banking for hands-off withdrawals; Vancity lets you point up to five email addresses at five different accounts. Note its $500 "no delay" threshold: above that, a transfer is not immediate.
Registering is also what makes a transfer uncancellable from the sender side, which is exactly why a casino processor does it. Account verification and payouts.
Why You Cannot Raise the Vancity Limit
Vancity publishes more limit detail than any bank in this set, and then closes the question in one line.
Also please note that these are system limits and cannot be changed for individual members.
Worth knowing who actually sets the ceiling being described as immovable. Interac Corp's answer is "Each financial institution sets their own."
How We Checked These Vancity Figures
Read from Vancity's own page in September 2026 and recorded as verified. Published terms change, so take that date as the age of the figure.
| Interac e-Transfer | Participating institution |
|---|---|
| Auto-Deposit | Supported |
| Send fee | Not established (read from the source below) |
| Limits | $6,000 per transfer, $10,000 rolling daily, $20,000 rolling 30 days monthly (read from the source below) |
| Card and debit | No card-block reports in our record. Editorial reading; we found no published term |
| Casino list | Not bank-specific |
Beyond the table above, the sections on this page cite 3 separate documents, each linked where it is used. Where Vancity publishes nothing on a question, the page says so instead of guessing, and the list is at what we could not source.

What We Went Looking For at Vancity and Could Not Find
Short list, which is the good outcome. These are the Vancity questions we could not answer from a published page. The sections above cite 3 separate documents.
- A Vancity cancellation fee.
- A Vancity statement on what happens to a transfer that is never claimed.
- A Vancity statement about card or debit payments to gambling merchants.
If Vancity publishes any of this and we missed it, that is a bug in our research rather than a statement about Vancity. Tell us where it is and we will cite it.
